Egg Drop Soup is a staple on our egg fast. It also makes a great starter for any Asian inspired meals like egg roll in bowl or Korean beef. This recipe is super simple and it only takes about 5 minutes to prepare. Enjoy this recipe on your egg fast too (2 eggs, 2 fats).
Keto Egg Drop Soup
15oz chicken or vegetable broth, low sodium
2T butter or ghee
2 eggs, beaten
Splash of the following: Soy sauce or coconut aminos, fish sauce and sesame oil
Dash of ginger and garlic powder
Bring all ingredients except eggs to a rolling boil. Slowly pour in the eggs as you stir very slowly, do not whisk as it breaks up the eggs. Continue to cook until it comes up to a boil again. Serve and enjoy!
NOTE: You can adjust the recipe to fit your needs. If you only need 1 egg and no fats, that's ok. Need 3 eggs and one fat, that's ok too.
